We have met new people who have had diverse backgrounds and have found them to be new friends which we can share our experiences with.

Q: I hear we provide services to other organizations such as laundry and meals. Will you tell us more about this?
We do provide several services and maintain contracts with other organizations within the community. The primary services we provide are our food and beverage services and our laundry services. These services are important to the organization as they not only bring in extra resources but they also expose the community to our organization and the many wonderful things that we do.
The K-State Anthropology student who lived at Meadowlark Hills last semester, Jordan Thomas, has embarked on a new journey. Jordan and his companions set out from Atchison, Kanas to South America on bicycle earlier this summer. The following are portions of his online blog:

Q: What are the Transportation Team’s hours of operation and what do we do if we need transportation outside of these hours?
The Meadowlark Hills Foundation has named Becky Fitzgerald the new Development Director.
In her new role, Becky will be responsible for creating, fostering and maintaining relationships with donors, residents and staff. She will work to cultivate gifts and to provide the opportunity for individuals to give their time, talents and treasure to further the mission of Meadowlark Hills.
Registration has begun for the trip to Minneapolis, MN from Friday, Sept. 19, to Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014! Registration forms are located in the Blue Book at the Hospitality Desk. Registration will conclude on Thursday, July 10, so get registered today!
The sixth annual Speedy PD Race for Parkinson's Disease will be held at Tuttle Creek State Park the morning of Aug. 23, 2014. This fundraiser helps support the Parkinson's Program of Manhattan through Meadowlark Hills, and volunteers are vital to helping make it a successful day. Each volunteer will receive a t-shirt and a raffle ticket for prize drawings!

Dr. Matthew Floersch, MD, is the Medical Director for Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community and operates the on-campus primary care clinic, Meadowlark Hills Medical Professionals. Dr. Matt also serves as Medical Director for both Meadowlark Hills Home Health and the Parkinson’s Program of Manhattan at Meadowlark Hills.
