You’re invited to the August meeting of Her Cancer Collective! This is a welcoming group for women at any stage of the cancer experience—whether you're newly diagnosed, in treatment, or navigating life after cancer. Her Cancer Collective is about connection, conversation, and community.

As always, this group is about honest conversation, mutual encouragement, and lifting each other up. No registration required—just come as you are.

Men's Cancer Group

You’re invited to join Meadowlark Cancer Program’s Men’s Cancer Group, a regularly meeting group for men at any stage of their cancer experience—newly diagnosed, in treatment, or navigating life after cancer.

This group offers a supportive, low-pressure space for connection, conversation, and shared understanding. There is no expectation to speak or share beyond what feels comfortable. Whether you come to listen, learn, or connect, you’re welcome.

Understand & Empower: Monthly Cancer Education

"Lived Experience: Brain Health"
Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 6 p.m. / Groesbeck Meeting Room at Manhattan Public Library, 629 Poyntz Ave., Manhattan, Kan.

Join us for a conversation about the role nutrition plays in supporting brain health. Through guided table discussions, participants will explore brain-healthy eating habits, share practical strategies for managing cognitive changes and everyday wellness, and learn from one another's experiences. Whether you're newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, living in survivorship, caring for a loved one, or simply interested in learning more about brain health, you'll find a welcoming space for connection, encouragement, and shared learning.

Caregiver Support Circle

Monday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. / Flint Hills Room at Meadowlark, 2121 Meadowlark Rd., Manhattan, Kan.

Hosted by Accord Hospice & Meadowlark Community Programs

Caregiver Support Circle is a group for those who are caring for an adult loved one through any disease process. This group provides a welcoming space to share successes and challenges, problem solve day-to-day caregiving concerns, and connect with others who truly understand the caregiving journey. The focus is on personal, daily caregiving experiences and fosters mutual support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. 

This group is intended for family and friend caregivers, not professional caregivers. Caregiver Support Circle will meet the second Monday of each month. Questions? Call (785) 323-3899. No registration required.

Arts RX: Education Quarter Preview

"Arts Rx: Movement at the Museum"
Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m. / 316 Pierre Street, Museum of Art + Light, Manhattan, Kan.

Meadowlark Cancer Program and the Museum of Art + Light invite you to the inaugural Arts Rx experience, Movement in the Museum, a free evening exploring the connection between movement, creativity, and well-being.

Serving as a preview of Meadowlark Cancer Program’s upcoming Muscle & Mobility health education quarter, Movement in the Museum will use the interactive artwork of contemporary artist Daniel Rozin as inspiration for gentle stretching, mindful breathing, and thoughtful movement.

Designed for a wide range of abilities, the program offers an approachable way to explore how movement and visual art can support overall wellness.

Whether you are living with cancer, in survivorship, caring for someone you love, or simply interested in supporting your health, you will leave with a fresh perspective on the ways creativity, movement, and mindful attention can work together.

Free. Includes access to the museum’s third floor Fine Art Gallery only. For adults 18+. Advance registration required. Capacity is limited to 25 participants. Click here to register.

What can you do to support a healthy brain? Join us for a practical discussion focused on everyday strategies that promote brain health, including movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and cognitive engagement. Whether you're newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, living in survivorship, caring for a loved one, or simply interested in brain health, you'll leave with actionable tools to support cognitive wellness throughout the cancer experience and beyond.
