Local not-for-profit focused on supporting people in living their best lives
At Meadowlark, we’ve always believed in the power of community. That belief inspired our founding nearly 50 years ago, when a group of local citizens envisioned a not-for-profit retirement community rooted in service to the people of the Flint Hills region. That same spirit continues to guide our work—not only through exceptional care for our residents, but through our commitment to supporting health and wellness for people throughout the broader community.
Our Community Programs are free and open to the public - made possible through fundraising and generous community support. All three offerings are designed to be inclusive and impactful, offering education, exercise, emotional support, comradery, and personalized consultations to help navigate challenges. They serve not only individuals with diagnoses but also care partners and providers—creating a space for connection, empowerment, and support for living well throughout the journey.
We also want to be clear about something important: Although Meadowlark is known as a senior living community, our community programs are for adults of all ages. One of our foundational values is this: Aging is a natural process of human development—beginning at birth and continuing through death.
With this philosophy in mind, our programs aim to meet people where they are in their life journey, offering support at every age and stage of adulthood.
Welcome to the Meadowlark Cancer Program — the newest of our community health programs. It builds off of what we’ve learned from the Meadowlark Parkinson’s Program and the Meadowlark Memory Program. In keeping with our mission, programming is free of charge and open to anyone in the Flint Hills or...
Meadowlark Memory Program is designed to help those dealing with Alzheimer's, memory issues, other and cognitive changes, as well as their caregivers. We offer support, valuable information, and helpful strategies to those affected in the Flint Hills region.
Our trained professionals offer a comprehensive approach to living with Parkinson’s disease, including personalized plans, plus information regarding evaluations, treatment, and insurance coverage.
