Steve Bietau, a Meadowlark Parkinson’s Program member, is celebrating his 71st birthday this month with Bietau’s Birthday Bike Ride! An avid cyclist, Steve plans to start a week-long, 71-mile ride on his birthday, TODAY, April 23. He’ll pedal several miles daily before finishing his ride at the annual Pig Out for Parkinson’s on Thursday, April 30.

The 14th annual Grow Green Match Day on Wednesday, April 22, is an amazing opportunity for the Manhattan community as well as Meadowlark Hills Foundation. On that day, donations made through the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation to participating non-profit agencies will receive a 50% match!

A week-long celebration at Prairie Star Restaurant and Event Venue to mark the 12th annual HOGtoberfest brought squeal-worthy attention to Meadowlark Foundation’s Good  Samaritan Fund. Not only did this annual event encourage giving in variety of ways — food and beverage purchases, raffle tickets, donations, and sponsorships — but it also prompted discussions about the Fund’s mission: to assist Meadowlark residents who live in a healthcare household and who also have exhausted their financial resources. To these ends, this FOOD, FRIENDS, and FUNdraising event, Oct. 24 through Oct.

“You make a gift. We make it grow.”

These two sentences, long associated with Grow Green Match Day, could have special meaning for Meadowlark Foundation’s Match Day donors. Not only do Grow Green contributions grow in value because of a 50% match, but also Grow Green donations “grow” opportunities for Meadowlark employees and “grow” the pool of talented nurses who care for Meadowlark residents.

Reacting to feedback from previous guests and with a yearly desire to entertain, engage, and evoke, the Art Mingle committee planned the early March event with several additions to prior fundraisers. If feedback from guests is any indication, these changes were for the better, as they figuratively and literally elevated Art Mingle: Hidden Gems to benefit Meadowlark Memory Program.

This Poyntz Avenue location in the HEART of downtown Manhattan is home to SNW Gallery & Custom Frames and Union Hall, which are located inside the historic, 127-year-old Eames Building.
