You can do what..?

Sometimes staying healthy and happy (and sane!) means bringing products and services to you. The majority of my Christmas shopping during the most recent holiday season was accomplished online – no store lines, no running from shop to shop to find exactly what I needed and it was delivered in record time right to my front door. On Friday evenings when the Duggans don’t want to cook and don’t want to go out, we can call in a food order to again, be delivered right to our door. Even the windshield repair man will come to you to fix  the ding from the rock that scared the living daylights out of you when it hit your car on the highway. So why not bring healthcare to the place where you most want to be – at home?

In-home care is growing within the healthcare industry as an option for healing and remaining independent at home. Home health care is made up of a wide variety of services that can be administered in a client’s home for an illness or an injury. But in-home services can go beyond the traditional structure to include on-going assistance with necessary homemaking activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, grocery shopping and more.

Whether you are receiving home health care to support your daily routine or to heal from a recent injury or illness, these services are typically less expensive and more convenient than those received in a facility. For those who have a goal of staying in their homes longer, in-home care can be an attractive option to capture the support needed to age in place.

Meadowlark Home Health is part of Meadowlark and is located on the Meadowlark Hills campus. Our home health agency not only provides health care services, but also companion services for support activities such as meal preparation and laundry. Meadowlark Home Health is Medicare certified and accepts a variety of payer sources, including commercial insurance and VA benefits. Home health services can also be set up on a private pay basis and those services will be billed directly to the client.
