Ask Annie!

Q: I hear we provide services to other organizations such as laundry and meals. Will you tell us more about this?

We do provide several services and maintain contracts with other organizations within the community. The primary services we provide are our food and beverage services and our laundry services. These services are important to the organization as they not only bring in extra resources but they also expose the community to our organization and the many wonderful things that we do.

The scope of our food and beverage services includes a meal plan contract with the Hospice House for meals each day, hosting several reoccurring community meetings here on campus and occasional catering for other organizations and individuals. These meetings include weekly Rotary meetings, several Men’s Groups, Chamber After Hour events and Leadership Manhattan seminars and even several classes for K-State to include their Gerontology and Speech Therapy classes. Some examples of events we have catered are: graduations, rehearsal dinners, weddings, community events and tailgates.

As far as our laundry services go, we currently maintain five contracts with other community organizations. The scope of each contract varies based on the size of the facility. We provide services to each organization anywhere from once a week to three times a week. We have an amazing team of laundry and transportation staff who work hard behind the scenes to keep on top of not only the laundry from our campus but also from these five organizations as well.

Thank you for another great question, and as always keep them coming!
