Focus on Finance: How a Meadowlark Hills Trust Account can help!

on February 20, 2013

Meadowlark Hills Trust Accounts can offer much-needed security and convenience for residents that choose to take advantage of this opportunity.

The Resident Trust Accounts are a savings account that is held/managed by Meadowlark Hills. The account accumulates a small amount of interest, however it is less than the average savings account. You will find that the dexterity of this account will make-up for the difference.

If a resident needs or wants access to cash, but does not want to keep a large amount of cash in their apartment, they can deposit it into a Trust Account. No need to even leave campus! You can deposit as much or as little money as you wish into the account.

Deposits are made by sending a check (with “Trust Fund” written in the memo line) to the Finance Office. There are two access points located conveniently on campus, for whenever cash is needed withdrawn from the account: the Hospitality Desk or the Finance Office.

At any time the resident can get their Trust Fund balance from either the Hospitality staff or the Finance Office. Statements are sent out on a quarterly basis that show the amount that has been withdrawn and deposited, including the ending balance.

If you are interested in starting a Meadowlark Hills Trust Account, stop by the Finance Office and speak to Jon Thompson or Chris Nelson.
