It’s that time of year to start training for the Speedy PD Race for Parkinson’s Disease, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23. The training runs are a chance to meet once a week as race day approaches. All levels of walkers and runners are welcome to join and feel free to invite your family and friends! Training will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 14, meeting at the North entrance to City Park. We will meet each Saturday morning (weather permitting) for eight Saturday’s leading up to the Speedy PD. The group will not meet on Saturday, July 5, because of the Independence Day holiday weekend nor Saturday, Aug. 9, because of a kid’s triathlon being held at City Park. Please contact Fitness Leader, Jeff Heidbreder, at (785) 341-2995 with any questions regarding the Speedy PD training.
