Moment of Silence

Monday, May 26, 2014 - 3:00pm

Location: Village Entrance

For many Americans, the traditional observance of Memorial Day has faded. To help remind us of the true meaning of Memorial Day, the "National Moment of Remembrance" resolution was passed in 2000 which asks that all Americans pause for one minute at 3 p.m. (local time) on Memorial Day, to remember and reflect on the sacrifices made by so many to provide freedom for all. Residents, family members and staff are invited to gather around the display of geraniums in the main lobby at 3 p.m. Monday, May 26, for a moment of silence and reflection.
