Location: West Conference Room

Kansas State University students want your opinion and thoughts on volunteering at Meadowlark Hills. The students will host a Focus Group at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in the West Conference Room. The students plan to establish a student group at K-State that focuses on volunteering with aging populations and they want to know how to best fit your needs! The goal of this group will simply be to develop a sense of community between residents and students from Kansas State. There is interest among K-State students in getting this group onto its feet, but we would like to hear from you as we begin to establish this student organization. What types of volunteerism/assistance would you like to see, should such a group come into existence? What are some of your needs that college students can help provide? Simply, are you interested in interacting and spending time with students on a consistent basis? It is important to us that your wants and needs are fulfilled by the establishment of this group, so we would like to hear from you. We look forward to meeting with you and discussing this coming Tuesday!

Additionally, we would like to video tape the Focus Group, as part of a project for class. If you would like to join us for good conversation and wouldn’t mind being documented, stop by the Hospitality Desk or Amanda Rall’s office to sign a video release form, or call her at 323-3801. Or if you would rather just have your opinions heard without coming to the Focus Group, contact Charlie King-Hagen at (913) 378-7485.
