Jim Sharp, author of “Sgt. of the Guard at Nuremberg,” will speak at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the Community Room. The author spent seven months as a Sergeant of the Guard at the 4-Power International at Nuremberg. His speech describes the interaction he had with all 22 Nazi defendants. He supervised and posted guards in the courtroom, the cell block and the interior and exterior security areas. He secured the autographs of nine of the defendants including Herman Goering and Albert Speer.
