Oink! It’s HOGtoberfest season!

Cox Bros. BBQ again is our host for this 7th annual event planned from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29. The restaurant is donating 10 percent of proceeds from the sales of tasty barbecue and beverages to benefit the Good Samaritan Fund, so plan now to enjoy lunch or dinner from Cox Bros. that day.

 One way to get into the HOGtoberfest spirit prior to Oct. 29 is to purchase Cash & More Raffle tickets. For $5 a ticket, buyers will have the opportunity to win one of the following HOG-tastic prizes:

•  1st prize: $2000 cash!
•  2nd prize: Traeger “Ranger” Portable Pellet Grill, valued at $430
•  3rd prize: 40-Pound Pork Bundle from GTB Custom Meats in Riley, Kan. Value: $160
  •  Bundle includes: Chops, 6 lbs; pork steak, 4 lbs; pork roast, 5 lbs; bacon, 5 lbs; ground pork, 10 lbs; sausage, 6 lbs, and cutlets, 4 lbs
•       4th prize: $50 gift cards for Cox Bros. BBQ, Coco Bolos, and Powercat Grill, valued at $150

Your purchase of Cash & More tickets supports the Good Samaritan Fund, which assists persons living in a Meadowlark healthcare household who have outlived their financial resources. The fund ensures that they, too, receive the same quality of service, care, and life enhancement as those with resources still available.
