Location: Community Room at Meadowlark Hills
On Friday, Sept. 8, Meadowlark is in for a treat! We will welcome Jacquie Gering, daughter of Meadowlark residents Fred and Esther Sobering. Jacquie is a celebrated international modern quilter, author and designer who will be sharing her journey from learning to sew with her mom to quilting celebrity. Jacquie started quilting nine years ago and has been a driving force and leader in the modern quilt movement. Through her quilts she will show how she adapted traditional quilting to fit her modern aesthetic.
Come see Jacquie’s beautiful quilts and celebrate the art and craft of quilting at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, in the Community Room.
