This Osher class will examine railroads, agriculture and the environment in the Great Plains and greater West from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at College Avenue United Methodist. The class will explore how farmers, agricultural scientists and railroad companies worked together through special trains and cars to address environmental and technological challenges in the 20th century.
