on January 2, 2014

There is so much to see and do in Branson, MO. that one thing is for sure, you’ll never be bored! We have a fun-filled vacation ready for you, so grab your closest friends or relatives and let’s hit the road! The Meadowlark Hills Travelers are headed to the “Live Entertainment Capital of the World!”

This spring will be the perfect time to experience live show after live show, from April 10 to April 12. Our Arrow Stage Lines luxury motor coach will take us from Manhattan, Kan. to the destination of excitement and exploration!

We’ll depart from Meadowlark Hills at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 10, and with a few stops along the way, we should arrive at our destination by 3 p.m. to check into the AAA rated, 3 Diamond hotel with luggage service upon arrival. The Grand Plaza Hotel will be the place we call home for the next two nights, with restaurant and lounge, gift shop, indoor pool and whirlpool on site.

Now is time to get out those cowboy boots ‘cuz we’re headed to the Dixie Stampede and dinner show. We’ll arrive early to catch the Carriage Show, while enjoying the four-course, hardy feast! Since the audience is always part of the show, you'll never forget the once-in-a-lifetime moments at Dixie Stampede! From amazing stunt riders and the ring of fire to live horse races, there’s something for everyone at the Dixie Stampede! The show involves live animals, dramatic lighting effects, incredible sounds and exciting pyrotechnics.

The following day we will attend a morning show at the Hamner Barber Theater. Experience the incredible musical talents of “The Fair Family,” an amazingly talented group of four brothers and one sister from Rogers, AR. Their show includes everything from country, gospel, patriotic, a cappella, pop, top 40 and oldies. Not only do they sing with great family harmony, but they also dance, clog, and are very gifted musicians playing a variety of instruments.

After the show we will grab lunch (included) then head to Table Rock Dam and visit the Dewey Short Visitor's Center to learn more about the dam for a brief time before we are off to our next show.

Next, board the “Showboat Branson Belle” for a dinner show and relaxing cruise featuring a three-course meal, variety show, and opportunity to sightsee along Table Rock Lake. The Branson Belle offers an encompassing time of entertainment and great food on this two and one-half hour cruise.

We will return to the hotel for a quick refresh before heading to the Mickey Gilley Theatre where we will view “SIX The Show.” Voted ‘Entertainers of the Year’ in 2009, SIX delivers their brand of entertainment like no other musical group. You won't believe what comes out of their mouths! These SIX brothers (a.k.a. The Knudsen Brothers) come from a family of 10 brothers. SIX have thrilled audiences with rhythmic percussion, toe-tapping bass, and melodic vocals that intertwine seamlessly, are all produced live with the power of just SIX incredible voices.

On our departure day, Saturday, April 12, we will take a trip down memory lane as the cast of “Red, Hot...& Blue!” recreates the songs and dances of yesterday and the modern hits of today at the Clay Cooper Theatre. Seven multi-talented entertainers take you through the decades with over 100 costume changes, hilarious wigs, reminiscent video footage, and more! From Big Bands to Boy Bands and the Beatles, don't miss this high-energy, non-stop performance guaranteed to make you tap your toes, bobble your head, and maybe even sing out a time or two! Red, Hot...& Blue! is your one stop sock-hop to great music and family fun! Awarded best morning show, best costumes, best vocal and dance group—they will be sure to impress!

Enjoy lunch included at “Mel's Hard Luck Diner”, the home of Branson's original “Singing Servers.” This 1950s era diner is home to talented, professional singing servers that entertain while you enjoy some great food and desserts. Many have been or are currently in some of Branson's most popular productions!
