You’re invited to the 10th annual Festival of Trees event, benefiting RSVP of the Flint Hills Volunteer Center. Enjoy an exclusive sneak peak of the Christmas trees submitted in this year’s festival while indulging in a glass of Mimosa and yummy appetizers, at the Ladies Holiday Preview and Fashion Show.
The Meadowlark Hills tree submission to the Festival of Trees will be displayed at this event. The committee members in charge of planning and decorating the Meadowlark Hills submission are Pam Reding, Kinzie Jo Zimmerman, Becky Fitzgerald and Kristin Smith. The committee members have really gone above and beyond this year! The theme of this year’s Christmas tree is “Ritzy Recipes!” They even personalized the tree by adding Meadowlark Hills residents’ own recipes and old jewelry. They have decorated the tree with old jewelry, bejeweled silverware, baking dishes and tea pots! You would never know that the trimmings on this tree were once ordinary kitchen utensils! The creativity and attention to detail of this tree will surely win Meadowlark Hills a prize. Be sure to vote for you favorite tree in the “Peoples Choice Award” category!
Meadowlark Hills’ own, Kinzie Jo Zimmerman, will be the master of ceremony at the fashion show to kick off this premier holiday event! You will have the opportunity to get a head start on your holiday shopping through local vendors and free gift wrapping! Sorry fellas, women only!
Transportation will depart from the Village Entrance to the Kansas State Alumni Center at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. There is no cost to attend the fashion show and the cost of transportation ($3) will be added to your monthly statement.
