Q: My primary care physician is another physician here in Manhattan; may I use the Meadowlark Hills Physician Office for urgent medical care?

The brief answer is no. The reasoning behind this is to allow the Meadowlark Hills Medical Professionals to focus on quality of care and patient safety. Many people have medical conditions and medications that can affect a provider’s treatment plan. It is always in your best interest to see your primary provider or someone in his/her practice, as they will know your history and have access to your medical records. The Meadowlark Hills Physician Office functions as a primary care clinic. The Medical Professionals have a group of people to whom we hold the responsibility of providing high quality care. We have developed a scheduling system to optimize the time we have with each person. This system is not designed for an urgent care clinic. The Medical Professionals have pre-scheduled appointments throughout the day, as well as same day appointments available for current patients to come in with urgent issues. By seeing your primary care provider for all your medical concerns, you give yourself the best opportunity to receive the appropriate care you deserve.
