Michelle Haub, Special Programs Leader

Michelle Haub, the Special Programs Leader at Meadowlark, is dedicated to providing oversight and leadership for the Meadowlark Parkinson's Program and Meadowlark Memory Program. Her role involves leading the Parkinson’s Core Team and Memory Program Core Team, overseeing program development, managing the Parkinson’s Lending Library, and coordinating education programs and events such as the Speedy PD 5K/10K Race for Parkinson’s and the Pig Out for Parkinson's.

Michelle's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in communication sciences with an emphasis in disorders from Fort Hays State University in 1993. She furthered her education by earning a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Fort Hays State in 1994. Michelle's career as a speech-language pathologist has taken her to Junction City, Kan., Conway, Ark., and Topeka, Kan.

In 2005, Michelle joined Meadowlark as a speech-language pathologist, and in 2006, she played a pivotal role in the development of the Parkinson’s Program. Her innovative contributions continued with the co-development of the Brain Fitness Gym, a program offering mind-stimulating activities like computer and video games, social games, and brain-teasers. The Memory Program, initiated in the fall of 2015, further demonstrates Michelle's commitment to enhancing the lives of Meadowlark residents.

Residing in Manhattan with her husband Mark and their two children, Trae and Trewman, Michelle finds solace and joy in one of her favorite spots, Manhattan Hill. This picturesque location serves as a backdrop for family outings, picnics, and hikes, offering a panoramic view of the city, especially enchanting during the fall season with changing leaves.

For Michelle, Meadowlark Hills is more than a workplace; it is a community of meaningful relationships. She treasures the connections forged with residents and takes pride in witnessing their growth and flourishing over time. These bonds, built on mutual respect and the foundations of Meadowlark Hills, are precious to Michelle. They contribute to a supportive environment that fosters encouragement and assistance, making the journey through the smooth and bumpy roads of life more navigable for everyone involved.
