UFM Class: A Tour of the World’s Religions

Tuesday, February 25, 2025 - 1:00pm

Location: Community Room at Meadowlark

Join on Tuesdays, Feb. 18, Feb. 25, to March 4, at 1 p.m. in the Community Room for a three-week journey exploring the diverse spiritual traditions that shape human culture. In this engaging one-hour weekly class, we’ll travel through the beliefs, practices, and stories of the world’s major religions.

Our tour begins with the Eastern philosophies of Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. We’ll then explore the Western monotheistic faiths of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. In our final week, we’ll discover fascinating, lesser-known religions like Bahá'í, Cao Dai, Daesoon Jinrihoe, and the Yoruba tradition. Whether you’re curious about different faiths or looking for deeper insights into spirituality, this course offers an accessible and enriching exploration of religion’s role in human history and modern life.

Enrollment is now open and can be completed by calling (785) 539-8763. This class is offered through UFM at no charge to Meadowlark residents, and Passport members may attend with a 20-percent discount.
