Ladies, join Rae Stamey and Becky Fitzgerald for lunch in Abilene on Thursday, Aug. 11. Your co-hostesses selected Amanda’s Bakery & Bistro as the venue for the upcoming Manhatters Ladies Luncheon. Called a “little gem” and a “homey, hometown bakery” by reviewers on Trip Advisor, Amanda’s offers breakfast and lunch entrees as well as a variety of pastries, specialty teas and coffees. It’s rated the top bakery in Abilene and No. 3 of 22 places to eat.

Next week, we have a choice of either a Tuscan Chicken Wrap (Baked chicken breast, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and basil mayo placed in a spinach wrap, then grilled) with your choice of side or a Grilled Chicken Salad (Mixed green lettuce, chicken, toasted pecans, dried cranberries and seasonal fruit with your choice of dressing). Dessert is brownie a la mode. A beverage other than water is on your own. (There are so many choices, Becky and Rae didn’t want to pick for you!)

Cost for lunch and transportation is $16 per person. While we wait for our lunch to arrive, browse among the gift and craft items and/or select some baked goods to take home.
