Social Media Classes with Ceianna Taylor

Starting Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 6:30 p.m.

Ceianna Taylor, a Senior at Rock Creek High School will be giving three instructional classes over the use of social media and how Facebook can be used to enhance connectivity with family and friends. Ceianna has been volunteering at Meadowlark Hills over the summer and has become a regular at Bingo!

The first class, “Introduction to Social Media” will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, in the KSU Classroom. The class will cover signing up for a Facebook account, basic security settings, “friends”, posting and viewing family and friends content.

The second class, “Intermediate Social Media” will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, in the KSU Classroom and is intended for those who already have a knowledge of what Facebook is and possibly already have an account but barely use it, or would like tips on how to make better use of it to communicate and keep up with friends and family or search for and connect with others.

Class three, “Advanced Social Media” will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, in the Living Room. This class is intended for those who regularly use Facebook and would like to know about more recent features and additions to the platform as well as get an introduction to Skype. The advanced class will also touch on Facebook video, advanced security settings and much more!

Classes one and two are limited to 15 participants and class three is limited to ten. Please sign up in the Blue Book located at the Hospitality Desk to attend one of the classes. There will be up to ten iPads available for use during the class and attendees are encouraged to bring their own devices.
