Pedaling for Parkinson's: Bike Ride Boosts Awareness, Support for Parkinson's Program
April 23, 2026
Local not-for-profit focused on supporting people in living their best lives
Location: Village Entrance
Arts in the Park will be hosting JUNO and four-time CFMA Award Winners, The Good Lovelies, a Toronto folk trio, at 8 p.m. Friday, July 22, at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in City Park.
The Good Lovelies: Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore, make three-part harmonies divinely — all sun, serotonin and retro-radio. As described by The Globe Review, “The Good Lovelies are a daydream, a distraction, a wish for sweeter music.”
The trio has developed and expanded their sound as musicians first and as Good Lovelies second. Their song lyrics are crafted to exercise some autonomy from the confines of genre and tradition.
The Good Lovelies will be showcasing songs from their newest album, Burn the Plan, a long-waited new album fulfilling and defying their so-called destiny as a “folk trio.” Burn the Plan brings winsome songwriting, impeccable vocals and triangulated charisma.
Transportation is available and will cost $3, but admission is free! Transportation will depart from the Village Entrance at 7:30 p.m. Please register in the Blue Book located at the Hospitality Desk for transportation to this event.
