"Big Why" Fall Lecture Series: Enriching Our Lives by Facing Some of Life & Our Community's Big Questions
October 3, 2025
Local not-for-profit focused on supporting people in living their best lives
Location: Kite's Aggieville Draft House
HOGtoberfest, which benefits the Good Samaritan Fund*, is set for Thursday, Oct. 27, at Kite’s Aggieville Draft House, 617 N. 12th St. Kite's owner Scott Sieben is donating 10% of the day's proceeds to the Fund. Food specials are a pulled pork and chicken slider buffet at lunch and a whole roast hog buffet beginning at 5 p.m. Live music provided by Tallgrass Tunesmiths begins at 6 p.m.
Our annual FOOD, FRIENDS, and FUNdraising celebration has featured a raffle prize since the event’s start in 2014. That tradition continues after a HOG-tastic change in 2020. The 2022 Cash & More Raffle features a cash award and three additional prizes!
Please help us reach our goal of selling 1400 tickets! The drawings will take place at 1 p.m. on Oct. 28 at Meadowlark, and the lucky winners will be notified shortly after.
Raffle tickets are $5 each. Your ticket stub(s) will be added to the ticket hopper, and the ticket receipt(s) will be mailed to you. Good luck!
*The Good Samaritan Fund was established to assist residents in Meadowlark healthcare households who have depleted their financial resources. The Fund allows these residents to receive the same quality of care, service, and life enhancement opportunities as those with funds still available. About 52% of those living in a healthcare household benefit from the Good Samaritan Fund.
