Osher Institute courses, available through Kansas State University and UFM Community Learning Center, in partnership with Meadowlark Hills have an exciting line-up of classes for Meadowlark residents coming up in March!
“The History of Native Americans in Kansas” will start on Tuesday, Feb. 26, and continue on Tuesday, Mar. 5 and 12, at College Avenue United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. This course will discuss the history of the Native American tribes that once lived in Kansas as well as those who still make Kansas their home. It will also examine the cultures, traditions, tools and artifacts of Native American tribes in Kansas. Instructor, Doug Tippin, is a retired history teacher who has researched Native Americans for 45 years.
