Interested in joining the writing group at Meadowlark? Prairie Star Writers is led by Cathy Hedge. The group meets on the first and third Tuesdays. The next meeting is set for 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the Patriot Room.

The March 4 session is titled, “What Brings Us Joy?” Sometimes it is a warbler singing outside our window. Perhaps it is a call from a friend, the fragrance of lilacs, a memory rising from a song, or laughter echoing down a hallway. Sometimes, joy seems elusive, yet is still as essential to our survival as air. Just as it has always been to us and to those who walked this planet before us. Let us take some time to recall, to write, and to share those moments of great joy. Those magic instances when all the world seems to sparkle, reflecting the happiness inside us. It will be wonderful to hear your stories.
