Kashaya Zukowske, Assistant Director of Nursing

Kashaya Zukowske, RN, serves as the Assistant Director of Nursing at Meadowlark, where she brings her expertise and leadership to the forefront of healthcare operations. In her role, Kashaya takes charge of the Shared CMA team, actively participates in the Quality Assurance and At-Risk teams, and serves as a valuable resource to household leadership and staff. Her multifaceted responsibilities also extend to scheduling training and providing crucial support as the Infection Control Nurse, where she meticulously reviews and maintains infection control standards and policies.

Kashaya's journey with Meadowlark began in July 2016 when she joined as the Health Services Assistant. Prior to her tenure at Meadowlark, she garnered a wealth of experience, having worked in various capacities, including CNA, CMA, Social Services Designee, and roles within the business office at Stoneybrook Retirement Community. Kashaya also served as a CMA at Homestead Assisted Living, showcasing her versatile skill set in the healthcare domain.

Her commitment to professional development is evident in her educational achievements. Kashaya successfully completed the LPN program at Hutchinson Community College's Fort Riley campus in July 2018, followed by the completion of the ADN program at Manhattan Area Technical College (MATC) in May 2021. As a testament to her dedication to advancing healthcare education, Kashaya actively contributes to the MATC Professional Advisory Council, shaping the future of nursing professionals.

Originally hailing from Concordia, Kan., Kashaya now calls Manhattan, Kan., home. Alongside her significant other, Temetrius Robinson, she shares her life with two canine companions, Optimus and Mason. Kashaya's passion for healthcare, coupled with her continuous pursuit of knowledge and dedication to the well-being of others, makes her an integral part of the Meadowlark team and a respected figure within the healthcare community.
