Meadowlark offers the complete range of services possible under Medicare, plus other home health services that can be contracted through other insurance coverage.
When a homebound patient qualifies for home health services through Medicare, a physician must order skilled nursing, physical therapy or speech-language pathology services. In this circumstance, additional services such as occupational therapy, a licensed social worker and/or a registered dietitian also can be covered under the Medicare umbrella.
Meadowlark Medicare-covered skilled nursing services include:
- Medication management
- Disease-process management
- Skin or wound care
- Incontinence and ostomy care
- Foot and/or nail care
- Lab work including anticoagulation therapy
- 24/7 on-call nurse
- Community education opportunities
In addition, home health aide services are available to assist with bathing and dressing, monitoring of vital signs, medication reminders, meal preparation and other household needs.
After a hospital discharge, Meadowlark provides the patient with complimentary at-home equipment and supplies to aid in his or her recovery, as well as a customized emergency plan tailored for his or her diagnosis or comorbidities, and 24/7 access to a nurse to answer questions or handle other concerns.
All Meadowlark Home Health caregivers are screened and bonded, so you can feel safe and secure when they enter your home. All nurses and therapists are licensed through the state of Kansas.
