Abby Cavender, Community Sales Leader

Abby Cavender stands as a distinguished professional in the role of Community Sales Leader at Meadowlark, where she plays a vital role in intimately connecting with the Passport Program and Independent Living. With a keen understanding of the needs of individuals and their families, Abby guides them in making informed decisions regarding their living experience and cultivating a meaningful relationship with Meadowlark.

Abby's journey with Meadowlark began in 2017, and her educational background is rooted in a bachelor's degree in rehabilitation services with a minor in sociology, earned from Emporia State University in 2006. With a career spanning since 2008, Abby has dedicated herself to the healthcare and senior living industry. Her wealth of experience includes roles such as a social service designee and later as a director of marketing for healthcare at a continuing care retirement community. She has also served as an account executive for a home health agency, bringing a multifaceted perspective to her current position. Notably, Abby has additional experience in the realm of Real Estate, further enriching her skill set.

Originally from Paola, Kansas, Abby has made Manhattan her home, residing with her husband, Danny, and their two sons, Coy and Cash. Her passion for her work at Meadowlark is evident in her favorite aspect of the job—the people. Abby appreciates the warm and friendly atmosphere at Meadowlark, describing it as being part of a big family. This sentiment reflects her dedication to fostering a sense of community and belonging for both residents and staff.

Abby's favorite room at Meadowlark Hills is the Game Room, where she witnesses the residents coming together to socialize, play cards, and enjoy coffee. She values the opportunity to engage in conversations with residents, exchanging friendly greetings, and contributing to the vibrant and sociable environment within the community.
