Meadowlark is pleased to offer two, 24-hour memory care facilities in the greater Flint Hills region: Meadowlark Riley House in Riley, Kansas, and Meadowlark Scenic House, located on the western edge of Manhattan. Home Plus licensed facilities are a residential care home that serves no more than 12 residents.

Both homes are nestled in beautiful Flint Hills environments and are designed to feel like private residences. Each house contains eight suites and provides a perfect assisted living environment, especially for those with early to mid-stages of dementia. In Kansas, this model is licensed as Home Plus.

Each home is run by our highly trained staff who can help seniors age in place, from early onset of diseases like Alzheimer’s or dementia, through end of life.

Included Features

Meadowlark Memory Care Suites provide an excellent value for families, offering comprehensive services at a lower price point than living on our main campus. Suites include:

• A personal room and three meals a day (plus snacks)
• Each home features common spaces, including a living room and kitchen
• Round-the-clock certified nursing assistants (with licensed staff available as needed)
• Weekly housekeeping, linen service and laundry
• Resident-directed social activities
• An emergency response system
• Transportation to appointments.

Additional Contracted Services

Additional services and amenities are available to fit the custom needs and budget of our residents, including:

• Private bathrooms
• Medication assistance and medication management
• Assistance with bathing, dressing and personal grooming
• Coordination with physician and pharmacist for healthcare needs
• Beautician and barber services
• In-room DirecTV
• Private phone available through Twin Valley Telephone (Riley location only)

Formerly named Autumn Hills, Meadowlark acquired both Memory Care Suites houses in late 2017. By expanding into rural communities and local neighborhoods, Meadowlark can now bring services closer to families, helping to ease the transition everyone goes through when a loved one can no longer be cared for at home.

Residents benefit from the same high-quality, person-centered care our region expects from Meadowlark. Residents determine their schedule and how they wish to spend their day.  

Residents of our Memory Care Suites are considered part of the Meadowlark family and can benefit from our entire organization’s professional staff, including physical, occupational and speech therapists, and support programs such as the Parkinson’s or Memory programs.
