Dinner and a Movie
You don’t have to venture far for a great night out.
Kansas Room Pub & Lounge
Kansas Room boasts the best of dining and nightlife: tasty appetizers, your favorite drinks and a fun atmosphere. Don’t forget to check out the weekly special events, such as live music or a “tailgate party” prior to the big game. Open daily, Kansas Room is the ideal place to slip away for a couple of hours…right on campus. Come see who our guest bartender might be!
Grosh Cinema
Before or after your pub visit, settle into a reclining seat at Grosh Cinema, our on-campus theater. Accommodating up to 15 people per screening, the cinema offers a variety of classic and newer movies, documentaries and beloved television shows. Several showtimes each day give residents flexibility when visiting the theater.

Room Service
It’s dining at home…only better. Just call Prairie Star, place your order, and have your meal or snack delivered right to your front door.
Neighborhood Meals
Every month, residents schedule meals in the restaurant or private dining room to share good food and fellowship with their neighbors. (Neighborhoods are organized by street or floor.) Don’t miss this new twist on the “block party!”
Groceries
If you don’t feel like heading to the grocery store, don’t worry. You can purchase grocery items from the Prairie Star kitchen at market prices. Delivery and unpacking are also available. Or, have your grocery shopping done for you through Home Health Services. Either way, you’ll save yourself the trip!
Special Events
Celebrate a big event, or add some excitement to an ordinary day by reserving one of four special rooms for your group. The Living Room seats 15 to 20, the Manhattan Room seats 16, and the Community Room accommodates 60 (seated) to 80 (theater-style). Or book the Kansas Room, our very own pub, which can be reserved for groups of 12 or fewer. Meadowlark can even cater your event! Contact our special events coordinator for details.
