The Meadowlark Hills Foundation Legacy Society announces the naming of Dennis and Sally von Waaden the Manhattan Legacy Award recipients for 2010.
They will be recognized tonight at the annual legacy banquet, which will be held in the Community Room at Meadowlark Hills.
Meadowlark Hills President and CEO, Steve Shields, said the von Waadens have been long-time friends of the organization. The couple has been instrumental in the growth and expansion of Meadowlark Hills, where they supported the Capital Campaign that helped build new amenities at Meadowlark, including a fitness center, café, restaurant and state-of-the-art healthcare households.
“The von Waadens continued to support our mission at Meadowlark Hills, including the campaign, even when financial hardships occurred,” Shields said.
Thom Jackson, Executive Director of the Meadowlark Hills Foundation, is striving to get more active participants in the Legacy Society.
“It’s our hope that more residents and families will follow the lead the von Waadens have been so passionate about,” Jackson said. “Their gift and those like them (legacy members) will ensure the future of Meadowlark.”
The Meadowlark Hills Legacy Society is made up of persons who have made a deferred or planned gift arrangement with the Meadowlark Hills Foundation. By planning for their future, Meadowlark Hills can better plan for its future. |
