Health Care Households

Chances are, Meadowlark’s health care households are much different than what you’d expect from a nursing facility. Following Meadowlark’s nationally recognized household model, these houses are designed to offer the freedom, privacy and connectivity of home to residents who need 24-hour skilled nursing care.

For resident Dorothy Kennedy, the amenities in Meadowlark’s households and throughout campus add to the overall package.

“I am very grateful I can be here. My room, the view and the landscaping are just beautiful, and the staff is wonderful,” Kennedy said. “And the latest thing I think is great is they’ll have movies for us to see, scheduled at all different times.”

In addition to the new movie theater, the recent completion of two new health care households has made way for 40 private rooms and the most state-of-the-art facility in the country, featuring in-suite baths; big windows; great views; a therapy spa and gym; and stations for exercising, gardening, reading and writing.

Homes

Six distinct households of 12 to 24 residents each – Bramlage House, Wroten House, Sloan House, Honstead House, Collins Landing and Collins East – offer a familiar, comfortable environment where residents and staff are able to build the feeling of family. You’ll follow a schedule that best suits your life, order meals of your choosing from the daily menu, and feel safe knowing that skilled nursing care is available any time, day or night.

Private and semi-private rooms are available, and each household features group living and dining areas. Both Collins Landing and Collins East [PC2]cater to residents with dementia or other special needs.
