Passport Program at a Glance
How does it work?
To be offered a place in any one of our three Meadowlark living options, you must hold a level passport, which means you have met Meadowlark’s financial benchmarks, and you must have the oldest passport origination date on the list at that moment in time. If the timing isn’t right for you, you can simply reject the opening and it will be given to the next person on the list. You are still in the top spot for the next opening.

Why join now?
By purchasing a passport long before you need it, you’ll “bypass” others who didn’t make the investment as early as you did. You’ll have time to advance on the list so that when you are ready to make the move, you will be considerably higher up than if you had waited until later to purchase your passport. Plus, you’ll be invited to various social gatherings and travel opportunities, which will allow you to feel at home in the Meadowlark community long before you ever live here.
How do I join?
You can purchase your passport at whichever level fits your place in life, and upgrade at any time by paying the difference between levels. So, to upgrade from a Passport Holder to a Passport VIP would require an additional $750 investment. Regardless of how long you’ve been a member, you must have upgraded to a Passport VIP before being considered for a placement.
Note: All former Future Residents Club members become Passport VIPs with no additional fee required.
What are the different Passport levels?
As a Passport Holder, you may not be able to meet the financial benchmarks necessary to move in. That’s OK – get your kids through school, pay off your house, advance in your career, and you should be financially ready by the time you are in your 60s. Joining today gets you an early origination date and you can upgrade to another level at any time. Passport Holders are in their 40s and 50s and will not need to move in for more than 10 years.
As a Passport Diplomat, you gain access to the Meadowlark Wellness Partners staff, which includes physicians and therapists who specialize in aging-related care areas. Starting in 2009, you can also use our on-campus health and wellness facilities, even though you don’t yet live on campus (additional fees will apply). You can start to make friends and begin to feel a part of the Meadowlark community. Financially, you are close to reaching your benchmarks and you are pretty certain this is the community for you.
As a Passport VIP, you are making the full commitment to move to Meadowlark once an appropriate spot opens up. You’ve met the financial obligations and want to join the community in less than five years. Generally, if you are over 60 years old, have met the financial benchmarks, and do not already own a passport, we recommend you purchase into the program at the VIP level.
In addition to social and wellness benefits, VIPs receive a Meadowlark money card, which can be used to purchase discounted dining packages and other on-campus goods and services. The card comes complete with a little start-up capital to let you try out our dining and transportation options.
