Social Groups for Men
Over the course of the past year, several new social groups have formed, beyond the monthly social dinners, and social hours, the Manhatter Club from Meadowlark Hills meets monthly. This group of ladies wear red hats, purple shirts and are having a good time. “We formed the group to have fun and we are" explains Lois Hartley, Queen of the society. Additionally there are two men’s clubs. The men's groups are made of 12 people, 6 residents and 6 non-residents. “With only 20% men here, sometimes we have to just do our own thing” explains Bill Johnson, group founder. The Men meet once a month to discuss whatever topic is of importance to the rotating discussion leader. All of these groups and many more are open to all residents who wish to participate.
